Dental School for Bangor

Accessing dental care under the NHS is an almost impossible task for children and individuals in the Arfon constituency. The report 'Filling the Gaps: The case for training dentists in Bangor' which has been commissioned by Siân Gwenllian MS contains statistical, anecdotal and expert evidence which reflects the seriousness of the situation in Arfon and Wales.

The signatory of this petition agrees that a Dental School should be established in Bangor in order to:

• Improve local services and tackle the dental crisis in Arfon and across Wales.
• Reinforce Bangor's status as a centre of excellence in health training.
• Strengthen Bangor's economy by creating more new quality jobs.

Furthermore, they agree with the findings of the report named above and believe that the report presents a comprehensive and detailed argument for the establishment of the school.
