Siân Gwenllian MS urges people to back local businesses as she launches new website
Arfon MS Siân Gwenllian is encouraging people to support local businesses, highlighting the Caernarfon-based company Delwedd as a shining example of community-rooted enterprise.
Delwedd has recently been developing a new website for the Arfon Senedd Member. The company was founded in 1998 by Mike Roberts of Bethel, a man remembered for his deep commitment to the community. Over the years Delwedd has supported countless organisations and voluntary groups across the area. Some examples of these are Gafael Llaw, Menter Cymunedol Bethel, Caernarfon Town FC, and MNDA: North West Wales Support Group. Following Mike’s passing in 2017, the business has continued to thrive under the leadership of his children, Aled and Ceri.
Speaking about her experience of working with the company, Siân Gwenllian MS said:
“It has been a real pleasure to work with Delwedd on my new website. They are a brilliant example of how local businesses can provide a speedy and personalised service with local knowledge embedded in their work.”
She continued:
“Arfon is full of creative talent – from artists and performers to designers and independent creators. Supporting local businesses keeps money circulating in our communities – creating jobs, opportunities and a stronger local economy.”
Delwedd is based in Galeri Caernarfon, at the heart of the town’s creative quarter. Siân concluded:
“I would urge everyone to support our local businesses whenever possible. By doing so, we’re investing in the future of our communities here in Arfon.”
The Senedd Member’s new website aims to keep constituents fully informed about her work, and ensuring she remains accessible. It can be accessed via this link: www.siangwenllian.cymru
